DoE Pay teachers by the seventh day of the month
The Directorate of Education (DoE) has asked a private school to pay salaries to its teachers by the 7th of every month, following a complaint from a teacher.
A teacher from Guru Harkrishan Public School, Punjabi Bagh said that the school had been delaying the Salary payment since March 2017, and a probe was conducted to look into the situation.
Even though the school denied the allegations, the probe found out that the school had been delaying the payments for a duration ranging from 5 to 45 days.
The DoE then issued an order that said “All the private unaided recognized schools are under obligation to make payment of salaries to their staff by seventh day of each month.”
